Playoff Schedule
« on: 3 Oct 2021 2:05:30 PM »
Tuesday October 5 is the listed day for our WC game.

I should be able to sim Wednesday/Thursday.  My plan is Wednesday.

I'd like to stick to a Wednesday/Weekend schedule this year if possible.

That means this is the tentative schedule until the WS (we may change for it).

Oct 6: Sim WC Game (rosters due Tuesday night)
Oct 9/10: Sim G1/G2 of Div Series (rosters due Friday night)
Oct 13: Sim G3/G4 Div Series (rosters due Tuesday night)
Oct 16/17: Sim G5

I will see how things look after that for my schedule for LCS and WS.

All rosters need to be down to 26 active players (Must meet all roster requirements) by  Tuesday night.

Good Luck!!!

Are there "travel days" in the first round schedule after G2 and G4?

AL wildcard: Toronto (96-66) at Boston (97-65). Toronto is 44-37 on the road; Boston is 50-31 at home;  Advantage: Boston. Toronto won the season series between the two teams 11-8; Advantage: Toronto. The Jays will be sending Justin Verlander to the mound; Chris Sale will get the nod for the Red Sox; Advantage: Boston. Toronto OPS vs LHP: 0.762, Boston OPS vs RHP: 0.742; Advantage: Toronto.

Should be a good game, with 2 of the top 6 teams in DMBO by ELO playing a win or go home game; good luck Kris!

I think this is right for the playoffs:

NL:

WC: ATL at CIN

LDS: ARI vs WC; MIA vs PIT

(MIA and ARI tied with 100 wins, but ARI won the head-to-head games vs MIA 5-2, so that gives them top seed)

AL:

WC: TOR at BOS

LDS: NYY vs WC; SEA vs KC

(NYY and SEA tied with 105 wins; NYY won the season series 4-3 and gets top seed)

ALDS: Toronto vs NY Yankees

Regular season: Yankees 105 wins, Toronto 93. Advantage: Yankees
Head to head: Yankees won 13-6. Advantage: Yankees
Offense: Yankees 825 RS, Blue Jays 783 RS. Advantage: Yankees
Defense+Pitching: Yankees 609 RA, Blue Jays 657 RA. Advantage: Yankees

for those of us who are Blue Jays fans, things look pretty grim. But there is a reason for hope: the Yankees will be missing arguably their best hitter (Fernando Tatis Jr) and best pitcher (Trevor Bauer) for all or most of the series with injuries; Tatis is out for the whole series; Bauer could be available for game 5 if the Yankees decide to keep him on the roster. Even without their best hitter and pitcher, the Yankees are probably still better, but it's a lot closer, and I might have a chance.
