Would the league be willing to let everyone have the same payroll, sure would simplify things?

That is actually a great question, and the first question I was planning to ask as part of figuring out the outlines of a new financial model.

While that would be great for starting a league...

Its an entirely different thknk when you have an established roster with players in place

I mean, we’ve been unfair to roughly a dozen teams for 16 years. I think that would more than balance a 1 year unfairness to half a dozen teams or so. We could even have a 1 year contract amnesty, letting every team void any contract they wanted to void as part of the reset. The are fair ways to deal with a reset.

I have always said that the level of intelligence of some of the GM's is a lot higher then mine. I have always subscribed to the KISS (keep is simple stupid). What if everyone started at the same dollar amount. After the first season the top (whatever teams) get an increase, the middle group stays the same and the worst teams lose salary cap. You could even have five tiers. Another thought is playoff teams get the biggest bump, winning records get a bump, and I am sure you get the idea.

Is there not any legit reason why the Payrolls went the way they did?

And how long has this model been in use, are there similar happenings, that people think shouldn't happen?
