You should now see appropriate batting/pitching statistics from 2017 for all players in their career stats; accessed by clicking on their names in the GM Desk.

Please do a check for me.

With that information done, I'll attempt to get an awards consideration list up late tonight or first thing in the morning.  I have all the data stored in excel files now, it's just weeding out those who don't need your attention and marking rookies!

If you signed a player during Tier 2 Free Agency last off-season and they did not have 6 years of service, that player should no longer be listed as 'FULL'.  They should instead have their service time designation ('1st', '2nd', etc.)  This is NOT true for Tier 1 and Tier 3 FA.  All Tier 1 FA are considered veterans (Kenta Maeda, for example) for our tracking services, and do not have pre-arb or arb rights.  Tier 3 FA are one-year contracts only and, while those players do accumulate years of service, you do not retain rights to the player.  I'm pausing here for the day to allow folks to double check their rosters.

All players on expiring contracts as well as those who just completed their 6th year of service should now be free agents.

All players remaining on your roster should be on your roster next year.  Their service time designations and salaries, though, should still be listed at their 2017 levels.

You should now see players 2018 salary demands for all pre-arbitration and arbitration eligible players.

I will not be doing ANY work on the database for the next 48-72 hours.  Everyone PLEASE double check your roster.  If anything at all looks incorrect, please post it IN THIS THREAD.  I have appreciated all the PMs when you see something and they have truly helped.  That said, my trade talks and my database PMs are intermingling a bit too much for my taste at this point.

Some guidelines:

1. The league minimum is now 0.545.  No player should be paid less than that amount.
2. Overall caps will be going up.  We cannot finalize them until awards are decided because (literally) 10s of thousands of sim dollars hang in the balance.  The faster your votes are in, the faster you'll see your new cap number!  I know some of you (me included) are holding off on decision making until you can see a cap number, so I'll ask the rest of the EC about uploading preliminary numbers with the understanding that some will absolutely change.
3. The GM Desk is still in baseball year 2017, so your blue highlighted players have not gone away, players are still on the DL/DFA list, and arbitration/option decisions are not yet highlighted.  When we switch to the 2018 league year in the GM Desk all those things change to their correct format; I've already peeked.

***CHECK YOUR ROSTER BEFORE WEDNESDAY AND POST HERE IF SOMETHING LOOKS WONKY***

I may be wrong, but I thought Blake Parker had an option for 2018 on his contract.  He's been removed from my roster as a free agent.

Not a member of the EC, so this is not the official word, but:

Yanks signed Parker in July, that makes him a T3 signing. Therefore an option would not be part of the contract.

Obviously an option was incorrect, but I must have been thinking he was going to be a 6th next season.  If his 5th was rejected post-2016 season doesn't that he mean he was going to be a 5th during the 2017 season, hence a 6th in 2018?

All tier 3 FAs become free agents after the season, regardless of thier service time.

If that hadn't been the case, I wouldn't have waived him...

Jon can you send me the WS calc for Carlos Gomez? His 6th year salary could very well be correct but I wasn’t expecting a 300% increase.

No problem!

He had 24.2 win shares this year in cf.  He's had 71.1 win shares in cf over the last 3 years.

By comparison, Anthony Rendon had 17.7 last year at 3B.  He's had 53.5 win shares at 3B over the last 3 years.  Matt Carpenter had 22.4 last year at 3B.  He's had 52.3 win shares at 3B over the last 3 years.

Those were the top 3 '6th' salaries spit out this year.
