Addison Russell!  :-* :-* :-*  Hopefully EX range on that projection.

It is both mind boggling and slightly infuriating that he got such a higher rating that Javy.

Makes no sense in my mind's eye.

ZiPS spreadsheet is out, including initial defensive ratings for every team except the Reds for some reason.

After a close examination of the defensive ratings, Pirates are confident to announce we plan to lead all of DMBO in errors. We have three players with an error rating under 100; Braun in LF (78), Moustakis 3B (81) and Buxton in CF (but he's just a 98). Everybody else!!!! Geez. It's bad.  Ratings > 105 include 109, 123, 131, 147, 165, 170, 216

A few season ago Cardinals showed that above average defense can be a big difference maker. The 2018 Pirates will try to win with defense reminiscent of a T-Ball team.

Yankees would have a potential defensive alignment with all Vg or better range, but Cody Bellinger only wound up with Av. Anyone want to take that bum off our hands?

You told me about the Reds... the worksheet specifically said no Reds... and I still wasted time out of my life searching for Jose Peraza's defensive ratings.  Not sure what that says about me.
