Arizona wins division
« on: 25 Sep 2016 3:29:15 PM »
An Arizona win coupled with a San Francisco loss has for the first time under my direction (that I recall) given the Diamondbacks the National League West divisional crown. An off season trade that added Mike Trout (47 HR's) and Albert Pujols (31 HR's) to the line up worked wonders. The line up is well balanced as all 8 starters batted 245 or higher and five players stole 23 or more stolen bases. Arizona currently leads the National League in batting and stolen bases, while tied for 4th in home runs.

Off season trades added three SP's to the rotation (Cliff Hamels, James Shields and Marco Estrada). A mid season trade added Aroldis Chapman to the bullpen.

While the Cardinals are the class of the National League we hope to pull an upset or two in the playoffs.
