Blue Jays minor league watch
« on: 4 May 2012 3:27:45 PM »
Only 1 guy I'm going to highlight now:

Sean Doolittle (A-AA): 0.77 ERA, 3.9 H/9, 2.3 BB/9, 17.7 K/9

So far, I'd say te conversion to pitching is going well.

May update:

Sean Doolittle (A-AA-AAA): 23.0 IP, 3.1 H/9, 2.7 BB/9, 17.2 K/9

You all mocked me when I told Jonathan to update his prospect value spreadsheet with Doolittle as a pitcher, but I will have the last laugh! Yes indeed I will!

(seriously, though - 44 K in 23 IP? That's insane. Why did they ever try to make him a 1B if he had stuff like this?)

And the A's have recalled WonderPhenom Sean Doolittle to the majors. Quake in fear, A's opponents! Be gentle on the A's starting pitchers or else you risk having to face the greatest pitcher in the history of spacetime!

A somewhat disappointing major league debut for Sean doolittle, who struck out only 3 of the 4 hitters he faced. Probably a little bit nervous, making his major league debut and all. Hang in there, kid - I'm sure you'll do better next time!

I give up!  Sean Doolittle has been officially added to the Blue Jays DMBO minor league rankings.  As a pitcher.

I apologize for Doolittle breaking your system - I'm sure you had trouble putting a value on a pitcher who tanscends mere grades and ratings. Am I safe to assume that the Blue Jays now have the highest ranking minor league system in DMBO, based on Doolittle's infinite value?
